CONGRATULATIONS to our WINNERS so far:
October 2022: June C. !
November 2022: Susan S. !
December 2022: Natalia D. !
January 2023: Linda F. !
Every time you send in a referral (person, group, organization, or business), your name will be entered into the raffle. More referrals = more times your name is entered and the greater are your chances of winning! Winners receive a $25 gift card, provided by Speak Up For Kids!
On the first of every month for the next five months (until March 2023), we will be selecting one winner. After a winner is selected, the raffle will reset, and new referrals will be counted towards the next drawing.
A referral is not just someone who you think would be interested in volunteering. Although most referrals will probably be those people, we also consider a referral to be a group, organization, or business! Examples of these referrals can be community-based groups, HOAs, fraternal orders, clubs, religious groups/organizations (churches, synagogues, temples, mosques, etc.), nail salons, barber shops, restaurants, and so on! Many of these places hold meetings, do activities, put out newsletters, or have a place to advertise/place brochures! We would love any chance to talk to them!
As long as you provide us with contact information, we will accept that as a referral!
“I just wanted to send a note about Peggy Wenger – We had a very difficult case that has been going on for over two years and Peggy Wenger has been the Guardian volunteer nearly all of the time. She just testified for manifest best interest and was able to testify to a time period where the current case manager hadn’t been assigned yet. She’s been a great example of what can be accomplished with the Guardian ad Litem and the Department working together. Even when we’ve disagreed on particular issues on the case, we’ve still been a great team looking out for the children. I really can’t say enough nice things about her.”
Thanks,

Christie, it is an honor to work with professionals like you, Kelwyn, Ellen and Liz. I've been a GAL since 2014 and look forward to a bright future. It is not a job without "trials" but then there are rewards like the magic of our "wrap" party this week.
So many dedicated people devoted to children who have gotten the short end of the stick in life. I am blessed to know so many selfless people.
You and the Guardian ad Litem processionals make it worthwhile.
Peace be with you,
Dr V.
You are the people that keep us going and make us feel safe and secure in what we do.
Congratulations to Ellen Kranzler, recipient of the "Lifetime of Advocacy" Award by Speak Up for Kids!
