How Do I Get Started?
In order for you as a prospective volunteer to get a better understanding of what we do as a Guardian Ad Litem, we would request that you review the requirements below before asking for a Prescreening Interview.
Requirements:
- Complete a 30 hour training class and in service trainings
- Minimum of 19 years old
- Complete a prescreening and application process
- FDLE and background check
- Visit the children monthly
- a PASSION for helping kids
If you feel you would be able to meet these requirements please fill out the below request for a prescreen interview. The purpose of the interview is for you to make an informed decision about becoming involved in our program. Also, it is for us to get to know you a little better and make sure it is a good fit for all. At the screening we will share what it is like to take a case and talk about the time commitments.
